St Augustine College, Catholic Bible College and the Anglican Diocese of Johannesburg invite you to explore the Bible in a Year (Short Course) (NOT OFFERED IN 2010)

This ecumenical course with lecturers from various Christian and Jewish traditions draws on history, sociology, anthropology, archeology and theology to offer a contemporary study of the Bible. 2009 is the third year in which we are running this exciting course, which over 100 people have signed up for and inspired by. Bible in Year over three short Modules
This makes it possible for students to do one, two or three modules in a year depending on what time they have available.
Sessions at St Augustine College, Victory Park are held on Thursday at 18.30-21.00 and at St Dunstan's Cathedral Benoni on Saturdays at 13.00-16.30. NB: The second date in the timetable below indicates Benoni.

The Aims of the course are
- To introduce participants to the different ways in which the Bible has been interpreted and the historical context of the different books of the Bible.
- To give particpants an overview of the Bible so that they can use it more effectively in their spiritual journey.
- To explore the nature of God as He reveals Himself to us through the Bible.
