WHEN FIRST REGISTERED
Philisiwe completed her matric in 2011 and went on to study Psychology part-time at UNISA. Unfortunately she could not continue with her studies due to lack of funds.
“I have always wanted to be a professional psychologist which is why, ever since I left High School, I have been trying to make that dream come true.”
She has also worked as a Brand Ambassador at the Creative Counsel, as well as a sales person at the Perdm Marketing Company. She loves music and reading and is a “people-person”.
WHY ARE YOU PURSUING STUDY AT ST AUGUSTINE COLLEGE?
Philisiwe liked the idea of St Augustine College being a Catholic College as she is very spiritual and serious about her faith. “I grew up as a Catholic who believed that God is her Provider”. She also feels that because the College has a small class format, the lecturers would interact easily with the students. She loves discussion and debate and is good with words, plus the subject “bundle” suits her career aspirations.
WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER AMBITIONS
Philisiwe takes pleasure in helping others and her future goals involve writing books – being a published author, whose books are “best sellers in SA”. She would also dearly love to own a psychology practice one day that caters for both wealthy and under-privileged people.
