Fees for 2012

Honours Degree

Bed(Hons) (Religious and Values Education)
R 10 000.00 per annum (four modules) or R3 000.00 (per module)

BTh(Hons)
R 14 000.00 per annum (four modules) or R 4 000.00 (per module)
R 6 000.00 for research project module (HONT402)

Study material
The cost of the study material varies from module to module but will generally be between R100 to R800, depending on the number of pages. This amount covers the photocopying and copyright fees.

Masters Degree

Standard MPhil curriculum:
The fee is R15 000 per annum (four modules).

If a student wishes to pay per module, the fees are R4 500 per module payable before the start of the module. Minimum payment before being allowed to start classes for a module is R4 500.

The tuition fee for the Research Paper is R5 750 and for the Research Methods Workshop it is R2 500.

Special MPhil curriculum:
Each module costs R4 500 and must be paid for individually.

The fee for the Research Paper is R6 750, which must be paid at or before the start of the Research Paper. The minimum period of study is 29 months (i.e. 26 months plus three months’ grace) from the date of first registration for the degree in the case of a part-time student. If a student has not handed in his or her Research Paper within the minimum period of time, he or she will have to pay the continuation fee of
R6 750.

MPhil by research only:
The fee is R6 750 per annum (part-time) and R13 500 per annum (full-time).
A minimum fee of R4 000 is payable on or before registration and the remainder within 3 months.

The fee is R6 750 per annum (part-time) or R13 500 per annum (full-time).

International student fee

If you are not a South African citizen or do not have permanent residence status, you are required to pay:

All countries excluding Africa
A registration fee of R3 250 per annum for international students from any country other than one in Africa.
African countries
A registration fee of R825 per annum for international students from any country in Africa.

Bursaries and financial assistance

When funds are available the College is able to offer a limited number of bursaries or financial assistance to students who are registered for a degree. A separate application form must be completed for this once a candidate has been admitted for a degree.
