WELCOME to St Augustine College. Please find information about our faculty and programmes on this site. The College has a tradition of offering postgraduate qualifications, certificate programmes, and a range of short courses in ethics, politics, philosophy, and theology. In the recent past we have also been accredited by the National Department of Education to offer undergraduate degrees in commerce, humanities, and theology.
The College prides itself on its diverse faculty since it contributes to a robust intellectual identity, and a sensitivity to difference as key to learning, debate, and personal growth. A number of internationally prominent academics comprise the faculty in keeping with our reputation for research that is critically engaged with society. The emphasis is deliberate since St Augustine of Hippo (354-430 AD) was thus engaged over a thousand years ago, and his concern with the common good, remains ours.
St Augustine College focuses on small group teaching to ensure quality of learning. Many of our students are awarded scholarships, and their research takes them to North America, Europe, and North Africa. The College also has links with prestigious North American and European universities, in the form of visiting faculty and the quality assurance of our programmes. Whether as prospective student, academic, alumnus, or member of the public we look forward to hearing from you!
